History and Fragility of Life

Today is a great day in American History. Today Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States of America. He has reached this great office, the first African American to do so. As I sat watching the proceedings, (somehow, an alarm on our Atomic Clock in the Kitchen, started ringing at the evil time of 6 am. mountain time.) After I had decided to stay up, I went in and started my marathon Inaugural television media coverage watching. If you can't be there....participate any way you can.

It doesn't matter who you voted for. I believe that today is the kind of event, where we are all equal, and can come together. It is also important for me, that I must mention, that President Obama and I are from the same generation. I'm getting older, and the President, at least this one, is younger.

I watched as Senator Kennedy entered the seating area for the swearing in. I thought he looked very well, and even distinquished. It must have been the hat. I was saddened to learn later, after running errands, that he suffered a seizure at the end of the Luncheon. It shows how fragile life can be. I also have not had the best few days. An error on my part, had left me out of some of my necessary medication for two days. Oh, never again..it's just a good thing I was home today and not at work. It looked bleak for awhile as there was a foul up and I wouldn't have the medicine for at least two more days. Thank Heavens that something came thru. It was not pretty earlier today.

Moral of my story, Grab on to History and live it. Record it, take care of ones health. don't mess up. Did anyone notice how Michele Obama had to keep moving her dress, at the Ball so they wouldn't step on it while dancing? Was it just me or did she seem uncomfortable with that. God Bless America.
